First attempt at 'NARS' Storyboard & feedback

Story board
'NARS & Fresh'

This was my first attempt at trying to do a storyboard with my brand and my word 'Fresh', I got a bit lost but got some great feedback, which I will speak about at the end of this blog after the images I gathered on my first attempt. I was very un sure of what I wanted in my storyboard and needed direction to move on and create a board. I gathered images from NARS campaigns that inspired me and I felt fitted with my inspirational word.

A lot of glow, shimmer and glitter is used throughout NARS campaigns.

I want my Lighting and direction similar to the below NARS campaign
I like the exposure and contrast, which will work for my word.

Great for giving your complexion a soft glow | Nars Illuminator.:

I love the lighting of these two NARS Campaign images,

Liner. Tilda Swinton for NARS:

I want to use silver glitter, caught in motion during the shoot, to fit with my word and ideas.

Hair styling- Fresh, wet sleek back hair

Colour use- wanting to use throughout shoot for make-up and
with swatches of colour shown below

Colours I want to use throughout the shoot, with the make-up and hair.

Lip colour and design

I love the eye direction with the use of feathering the make-up out, giving the wind swept brushed over the face look keeping in lines with 'Fresh' but being inspired by NARS as brand.

I love this lighting and pose and direction  from NARS- linking it with my ideas with my word 'Fresh'
I would use this but with more colour, cool blues.

+<3 the brush technique the glitter and the gore - inspiration for beauty junkies, makeup artists and enthusiasts:

I want feathering with cool blue colours.
Images are all off my pinterest boards linked in my blog (Fresh & NARS)

After I showed my peers what images I had gathered, I feel I was a bit lost and they got me back on track with where I wanted to go with my ideas, looking at my word and really working it intone brand, I found this so helpful and appreciated their honesty and help, I take it as constructive crictisim and I took it on board. I felt to myself I didn't really have much direction and my story board was a bit over the place.

Here is a photo of the words and advice they had written for me and also they told be verbally how to go about stripping it down and going back to basics.

I feel my peers were very supportive as I struggled with this at first, I had no idea where to start and I felt useless when doing this. I wanted to select images that I liked and inspired me for my word image, it was only our first week doing this, so I had time to edit and change my mood and to look further into my word and to be adventurous and less safe. I also felt embarrassed due to my lack of knowledge and structure but I'm glad I did it so I could get the right help and guidance to better myself with this and I was very thankful for the feedback I received and from Sharon.
